Poem: Housekeeping/Mosaic

Housekeeping/ Mosaic

No one really wants
the big reveal- stains
on the ragged dress, the
dirty laundry-

So we make a
downy nest, a place
to give a damn, and
rest a weary heart

Lined with blues and
greens, and shelly pinks,
music to plink, sights
for savaged eyes-

marred when the stucco
employed to shield the grace,
begins to crack...

  3. Perhaps the marring gives it character? A fine poem though Annie and you know I don't like poems...

  5. "The big reveal"--I love how you use this idea. I think about the ambush quality of that concept.

    Lovely.
